This charming detached cottage is set in a quiet location on the fringe of Buckland Newton which was chosen by the BBC as a typical Dorset Village. It is perfect for a peaceful retreat located on the southern edges of the beautiful Blackmore Vale where many walking and cycling routes can be found leading from the door allowing you to take in the picturesque landscape that this area is renowned for. From the cottage, it is easy to wander to the friendly popular local pub (The Gaggle of Geese), which can be found just a 10-minute walk down the road.

There is also a well-stocked local shop. The nearby area encompasses golf and fishing, or you can easily reach the towns of Dorchester (9 miles) or Sherborne (10 miles) which have a great selection of restaurants, cinemas, pubs and shops. Why not take a trip to the coast and visit the sandy beach and historic harbour in Weymouth or go fossil hunting along the famous Jurassic Coast.

Dorset Midsummer Music Festival
A family-friendly music festival set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
