    Getting to Pleasant Spot

    Despite its peaceful countryside setting, Pleasant Spot is surprisingly easy to reach from across the UK.

    By Car from London

    The journey from London takes approximately 2½ hours.

    Take the M3 towards Southampton and continue onto the M27. Join the A31 westbound and continue for approximately 31 miles until you reach the Bere Regis Roundabout. Follow signs for Dorchester on the A35 before taking the B3143 towards Piddlehinton and Buckland Newton.

    An alternative route is to follow the M3 before joining the A303, which provides a scenic drive through Hampshire and Wiltshire before reaching Dorset.

    By Train

    Fast rail services run regularly from London Waterloo to both Dorchester South and Sherborne, with journey times of approximately 2½ hours.
